COMPETITION SPECIFICATION
The Gate to Success
COMPETITION SPECIFICATION
1-) The competition will be held in 2 stages in 4 categories, for ages 5-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-20.
2-) Each student participating in the competition will be given a certificate for their participation.
3-) The student can participate in the competition only in his own age category.
4-) Application fee for the competition is 300 TL, (the application fee is 50 euro for foreign competitors, they can hand in before the competition.)

6-) Travel, accommodation and food expenses of all competitors belong to them.
7-) All stages of the competition are open to the public free of charge. (Depending on pandemic conditions, this contest can be held without spectators or online)
8-) There is an obligation to memorize in the competition.
9-) Candidates who will participate in the competition must be present at the competition hall at least 1 hour before the competition time communicated to them.
11-) The jury can award more than one 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. In this case, the prize money is shared among the competitors who have been awarded the same rank.
12-) Candidates who will participate in the competition are required to submit the contest application form and other documents by 25 January 2021 at the latest.
Note 1: Age calculations will be based on the date of the competition, 13 March 2021.
Note 2: The competition is open to all amateur and professional students. Students who are full-time and noble students at the Conservatory, Fine Arts High School and similar music schools can participate in the competition.
Note 3: The participation certificates of the students participating in the competition will be delivered at the award ceremony. Students who do not attend the Award Ceremony lose their certificate rights.
Note 4: Those who are selected from among the students who are ranked in the competition have to play in the Final Concert at the Award Ceremony.
FESTIVAL SPECIFICATION:
1-) Mozart Academy Piano Festival will be held in 2 categories: 5-12 years old and 13-20 years old.
2-) Each student in the 5-12 age category will be given a maximum of 5 minutes, and each student in the 13-20 age category will be given a maximum of 8 minutes.
3-) Participants in the 5-12 and 13-20 categories can play a maximum of 3 pieces in the allocated time.
4-) Each student participating in the festival is rewarded with one of the following success criteria.
5-) Candidates who will participate in the festival must send the application form and other documents to us by 25 January 2021 at the latest.
6-) Application to the festival is paid and the application fee is 200 TL.
7-) The registration fee will be deposited into the account registered in the name of Mozart Association with İş Bankası Konak Branch İBAN NO: TR96 0006 4000 0013 4011 0905 79 Account Number: 3401-1090579.
8-) All stages of the festival are open to the public free of charge. (Depending on pandemic conditions, this fetival can be done without spectators or online)
9-) Travel, accommodation and food expenses of the students participating in the festival belong to them.
10-) There is an obligation to memorize during the festival. Surprises specified in the work will not be stolen.
11-) Candidates who will participate in the festival must be present at the hall at least 1 hour before the time period communicated to them.
12-) 5 pianists selected from the students participating in the festival will be entitled to play at the award ceremony.
Note: Students participating in the festival will submit their award documents at the award ceremony. Students who do not attend the Award Ceremony lose their certificate rights.
FESTIVAL AWARD CRITERIA:
(Each student participating in the festival will be awarded one of the following success criteria.)
Award for success in interpreting a baroque period piece
Award for success in interpreting classical period work
Award for success in interpreting romantic period work
Award for success in interpretation of modern period works
Award for success in jazz interpretation
Award for success in folk interpretation
Award for success in interpreting popular works
Success award in artistic stance and aesthetic appearance
Musicality - Musical dynamics achievement award
The best performance achievement award (will be given to a maximum of 5 people. Participants who are entitled to this award are entitled to play 1 piece at the award ceremony)
JURY RULES:
The members of the jury will be people who are experts in their fields and have international experience.
Students and relatives of the jury members cannot participate in the competition.
Jury members will be announced 15 days before the competition date.
